It is also known as heat exchanger or oil hydraulic cooler. There are 2 types: One is shell and tube type (copper tube bundle); Another is finned type (finned bundle design).
Heat exchangers are used as condensers, re-boiler, process heaters or coolers.
Maintenance and Periodically Check up Notice
- Routine check up should be at least every six or twelve months, depend on flow condition.
- Remove U-loop side end cover and check its contamination status; Remove oil drain valve, discharge the oil inside and check oil condition; Determinate again how often to do this check up depend on how worse water and oil's contamination is.
- Replace anti-corrosion zinc plate immediately if the length has already become shorter than 1/2 of original length; No standard changing times, depend on the situation itself.
- Cooling water should be drained out of oil cooler at the end of each day to prevent from pipe froze if local weather is cold.
- The best way to prevent from corrosion, contamination or leakage is to do periodically check up and replace or fix them when needed.
